| Anne Miller: Boston Stylist and Personal Shopper |
Anne Miller has been analyzing friends' wardrobes and putting together new combinations for — no exaggeration — almost her entire life. And she has the photographic evidence to prove it. When Anne was four years old, she let herself into her friend's empty house and tried on her friend's clothes. By the time the family returned, Anne had progressed to the master bedroom and was wearing the mother's high heels. Fortunately, the family had a sense of humor. They sent Anne home in the outfit, and Anne's father grabbed the camera and snapped the picture.
"Even at age four I was in somebody's closet, which is what I am doing now," says Anne, who joined Organization by Design as a wardrobe consultant in 2011.
These days, she is charged with helping our firm's clients sort out their wardrobes by putting together new outfits that allow them to look and feel their best while complimenting how they live. Anne says one of her great joys is finding one or more pieces that a client has overlooked, but which fit beautifully with other items they already own. Her clients come away not only with complete outfits ready to wear, but a deeper understanding of the interplay of fit, fabric, style and color.
Anne studied fashion merchandising at Brandywine College and the Art Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, but veered away from a fashion career to work in the telecommunications industry.
Notes firm Founder and President Mary Lou Andre, "What makes Anne unique at our firm is her extensive corporate experience. She instantly connects with our clients and can relate to them as both individuals and working men and women. She is professionally confident in a way that only someone who has mastered the ins and outs of the corporate world can be. Her clients rave about her warmth and down to earth style. These traits combined with her expert fashion eye is what keeps her clients coming back to work with her."
"Anne is five-stars in every way. She came to my home and in a matter of hours organized my closet and made dozens of outfits from what I already owned. It was a blast and I felt better right away." says client Jill Roeting. "When we met at the mall to add a few things to round out my wardrobe, I was greeted by Anne and a dressing room full of clothes that I actually needed! We were out of the mall in record time and then back to my house for a quick hour of putting it all together. Anne emailed me that night with a summary of my new outfits. I am still smiling!"
