Each month, Mary Lou answers (and we post!) a fashion question from one of our site visitors. If you have something you want to know to help pull together your wardrobe with style and confidence, ask away! We also announce that the monthly question and answer is available to read in our free weekly Dressing Well "Tip of the Week!" You may want to subscribe if you haven't already done so. Bookmark this page and return back soon to see if your question has been answered! For April, 2002: Q: I like to dress in traditional wear for work but also like to add a little color to go with the seasons. I am stumped, however, on what colors to wear in this in-between season. I love pastels yet the weather on some days seems more like Winter than Spring. Could you give me any tips on what colors would be appropriate in the "not-quite-Spring" months? A: I love chocolate brown and gray suits this time of year with lilac and coral blouses the suit is still dark but the blouses put a "spring" in my step! We do this combination with a lot of our TV clients with fabulous results (a.k.a. the viewers love it!) Since turquoise is so hot this spring, I would pick up a few tops in this color to wear with your base suit colors as well. |
