For June, 2006:

Q: I recently bought a pair of light gray dress pants. I was planning on wearing them with pink and lilac colored blouses. What color shoes should I wear? Finding gray, low-heeled dress shoes in a wide width seems to be impossible. Thank you for your help.

A: Look for a low sandal with a pink and lilac weave so you can wear the same shoes and pants with both pink and lilac tops.

If all else fails, a black or muted, silver metallic sandal (or sling back pump if you don’t want to expose your toes) should work. Muted metallic shoes are fine for daytime wear, especially those with a low heel. Zappos.com is a good source for wide shoes and sandals. Mall stores such as Naturalizer and Aerosoles also have a good selection in hard-to-fit sizes. Good luck!
