For December, 2006:
Q: I have a chocolate brown skirt and I was wondering what colors would go with it this time of year. Would a caramel shirt with gold jewelry match? Is that too boring for a holiday party?
A: I love chocolate brown — especially this time of year. A caramel top sounds pretty with a chocolate brown skirt. Add some holiday sparkle to this combination by layering some beads and baubles with embellishments such as rhinestones, pearls and cut glass at either your neck or waist. Slipping a cream camisole trimmed with lace under the shirt would also give this outfit a soft, feminine feel appropriate for holiday parties. I love tall boots with skirts this time of year. A chocolate brown pair in the same hue as the skirt would complete the look.
