Getting Started

The most ideal way to begin successfully managing your wardrobe is for one of our consultants to visit you at your home to review what you already own and get your wardrobe completely organized.

During the wardrobe overview process, they will discuss which styles of clothing and accessories work best for you. They will also work with you to identify what pieces you may want to add to your wardrobe to complement your lifestyle.

The initial consultation at your home is $500 and includes:

• Up to three hours of private coaching. Additional time beyond the three hours is billed at $150/hour. A typical first session at your home lasts between 3-5 hours. Consultants are also available for a full day of consulting (8 hours) if arranged ahead of time. Repeat visits to your home are billed at $150/hour. Our prices reflect the value and results that we consistently deliver to our clients. • Travel to and from the appointment within a 30-mile radius of the consultant’s home. We currently have consultants that cover all of Rhode Island and greater Boston within their travel radius. If you live outside your consultants travel radius, a travel fee will be quoted when you book your appointment. Our consultants frequently travel to NYC, CT, NJ and Washington DC to work with private clients. We are also available to travel to other cities and states as well.
  
  
• A set of our preferred hangers to help your consultant correctly assess your wardrobe and to help you maintain our wardrobe management system after her visit. In addition, you will receive an Organization By Design, Inc. fashion folder to help you organize information provided during your consultation.
  
  

Implementing Your Shopping Plan with our Personal Shopping Services

Many of our clients want help implementing a shopping plan. Consultants can do all of the personal shopping with you at the store or arrive early to select merchandise and have it ready for you to try on. They can also shop with you on-line or with catalogs in the privacy of your home or from their home offices, and schedule a follow-up visit with you when the merchandise has arrived to assist with final selections. The fee for all types of personal shopping is $150/hour.

Although we strongly encourage clients to take advantage of our at-home service before they shop, clients may opt to skip the at-home consultation and just choose our personal shopper service. Your consultant will meet you at the store to shop and get your fashion questions answered. If you meet a consultant at the store, you are encouraged to bring clothes from your closet that you have questions about. We have a two-hour shopping minimum at the store for both new and repeat clients.

Hair & Make-Up Consultations

Our image consulting service extends to hair and make-up advice. As part of our personal image consulting services, we make referrals to hair stylists and make-up artists that can assist you in further developing your personal style. Consultants are also available to accompany clients to the make-up counter and hairdresser to be sure they get only the products and styles they want and need.
