Throughout 2019

We continue our partnership with Boston-based Bates Communications to bring our executive image message to their highly successful Communication and Leadership Open Enrollment programs. We will be presenting at the following Bates programs in 2019:

  • Speak Like a CEO – learn to deliver exceptional formal and informal presentations that "wow" your audiences and motivate people to act.
  • Executive Presence Mastery Program – project executive presence and build leadership influence by amplifying your unique character, substance and style.

(Note: Both Executive Presence programs include the Bates ExPI assessment -- the first and only research-based, scientifically validated assessment to measure executive presence. Leaders attending these two programs work with a Bates coach to complete the assessment prior to attending the programs.)

Visit the Bates Communications website to view program dates (March and October programs are scheduled in 2019), sign up and learn more. These programs are also available to bring in-house. Contact Sean Costa (scosta@bates-communications.com) to learn more.

First Karma Saturday of 2019 at the Needham Community Council

The Karma of Clothing Project is a partnership between The Dressing Well Charitable Foundation and The Needham Community Council that leverages the Council's well established retail thrift store by opening its already generous and welcoming doors to a new group of people in need who have been referred into this special program by a social services agency. Held on the first Saturday of each month, participants are paired with volunteer personal stylists trained by the program to help select gently used, high quality clothing and accessories suitable for their lifestyle, profession and interviewing. Participants are also given a gift certificate made possible by our Foundation to purchase what they need. Long considered one Needham's best destinations for affordable shopping, The Council Thrift Store is also a significant source of revenue for Council programs, including its food pantry, ESL tutoring serves, medical equipment loans, transportation assistance and general outreach to people in need throughout our home town of Needham. In addition to program participants benefiting from the "karma" generated by our donors and the many people who donate clothes to the Council, the Council also receives direct funding for its programs via our gift certificates creating a true circle of giving that has an impact much greater than just for those receiving the clothes. Follow this link to read the inspiring story behind The Karma of Clothing Project. We also welcome donations for this special program. Donate through our Foundation. Thank you.

15th Annual Belle of the Ball Dress Collection Kickoff

Please drop off your good quality, trendy prom dresses to one of Anton's Cleaners 42 locations, all Jordan's Furniture stores or any Enterprise Bank branch office today through March 25th. Belle of the Ball distributes cleaned prom dresses at no charge to high school junior and senior girls who could not otherwise afford to attend their school's prom. Unlike other prom gown collection drives, this program culminates with a day-long boutique where deserving girls are invited for a day of personal shopping and pampering. Last year, over 600 girls participated in Boutique Day. We need your help to ensure Belle of the Ball is a success again this year. Thank you!

15th Annual Belle of The Ball at the Hynes Convention Center

We are beyond proud to be one of the original sponsors of Anton's Cleaners Belle of the Ball. What started in the gym at Simmons College in 2014 serving just a handful of students has grown into a sophisticated day of dreams come true at the Hynes Convention Center. In addition to Anton's, Jordan's Furniture and Enterprise Bank have joined the cause as lead sponsors, using their respective stores, branches and collective marketing power to collect the dresses each year, inspire their employees to get involved as well as underwrite the day of experience for over 600 deserving young women annually. We continue to oversee the Dressing Well Style station, supporting the 100-plus volunteer personal shoppers on hand every year. It is an amazing day filled with smiles, hugs and empowerment. Kudos to our dear friends at Anton's – you really created something special and we are thrilled to continue our support of this amazing event!

Happy Anniversary to our Foundation!

DWfoundation logoTo celebrate the 25th anniversary of our firm on April 1st in 2017, we launched The Dressing Well Charitable Foundation. Our Foundation provides monetary support to other 501(c)(3) organizations, especially those that offer clothing, career support and social services to women, men and children while encouraging self-sufficiency.  Please visit the Fashionable Giving section of our website to learn more about this initiative and the charities we are supporting. While we will continue to donate our time and talent to the charities we love, our Foundation allows us to increase the financial support they also need to thrive. We greatly appreciate your generous donations (100% which are tax-deductible) to help further the good work of these outstanding organizations. Thank you.
